Americans do not know most public broadcasting companies around the world broadcast most international events. USA used to until Republicans defunded PBS in the 1980s and Clintonistas deregulated broadcasting and media, in the 1990s.

Latvia, Greece, Iceland, Finland, Poland are my favs for this year. But I know my musical taste is far away from the general vibes out there. I really enjoyed the show as this year's entries were so interesting. Well. Most of them.
Short recap so far. Latvia is my personal favourite. In general: much more folksy elements and weird languages instead of mainstream Europop as was the standard recipe 10-15 years ago.
