After yesterday's announcement by the PM on the acquisition of new nuclear weapons it's almost impossible to find any politician, pundit or analyst mentioning how this affects commitments made by Britain as a signatory and depositary of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. I've only found one reference at the bottom of an article in The National where Jeremy Corbyn points this out. British media, do your work.

The image shows a large, silver aircraft with a distinctive design, featuring two large propellers on either side of its fuselage. The aircraft is enclosed within a metal cage structure, which is open at the top and sides, allowing visibility of the aircraft's body. The cage is supported by a framework of metal bars, creating a grid-like pattern. The aircraft has a red star emblem on its tail, indicating its possible military affiliation. The propellers have black blades with yellow tips, and the aircraft's landing gear is visible, consisting of multiple wheels. The background is a flat, open area with a cloudy sky, suggesting an airfield or similar setting. The aircraft's body is marked with the number "54," and the overall condition appears to be weathered, with signs of age and use.

"Under the banner of human rights work, a state-backed Russian organization has spent years advancing the Kremlin’s geopolitical agenda across the world — including by funding the legal defense of alleged spies, criminals, and propagandists.

Among the recipients of its grants is a taxi driver convicted of espionage, a man convicted in the Czech Republic of leading an armed band during Russia’s annexation of Crimea, and an Australian activist who assaulted an elderly Ukraine supporter.

The “Foundation for the Support and Protection of the Rights of Compatriots Living Abroad,” also known in Russian as Pravfond, started operating in 2012 with the stated goal of defending the rights of Russians abroad, primarily by offering assistance if they get into legal trouble.

Last year, a leak of several dozen documents revealed that Pravfond had ties to Russian intelligence and had helped pay for the legal defense of notorious arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Now, an archive of nearly 50,000 emails from Pravfond, obtained by journalists from Danish public broadcaster DR and shared with OCCRP and 28 other media partners, exposes the inner workings of a foundation used by the Russian government to advance its interests around the world — defending spies, maintaining networks of influence, and funding propaganda — all under the banner of fighting for the human rights of Russian “compatriots.”"

Russian authorities continue to demand the impossible, namely that we give them user data we don't have. Today the Moscow City Court rejected our objections and sided with the communication surveillance authority Roskomnadzor and the Federal Security Buereau (FSB). Not too surprising. LoL:

"President Donald Trump’s special envoy broke with long-standing protocol by not employing his own interpreter during three high-level meetings with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, opting instead to rely on translators from the Kremlin, a U.S. official and two Western officials with knowledge of the talks told NBC News.

Steve Witkoff, who has been tasked with negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine, met with Putin in Moscow for several hours on Feb. 11, on March 13, and in St. Petersburg on April 11, and “used their translators,” one of the Western officials said. “If they speak to each other in Russian, he doesn’t know what they are saying,” the official added, referring to Putin and the interpreters.

Witkoff, a former real estate mogul and cryptocurrency trader, does not speak Russian. By using Kremlin interpreters, he ran the risk that some of the nuance in Putin’s messages was missed and he would not have been able to independently verify what was being said to him, two former American ambassadors said."

In April 1972, pieces of the probe's fuel tanks landed in New Zealand. Local teen Denis O’Sullivan recovered one of them on his family farm & held onto it ever since.

#Russia started deploying a new attack tactics on #Ukraine military units - in #Mikolaiv unknown perpetrators offered a woman with a child large amount of money for “delivering a package to soldiers”.

She was expected to leave the package to soldiers and then leave, confirming delivery by messaging an agreed number. When she only approached the soldiers the package exploded, killing herself and three soldiers from mine disposal unit. The bomb was of course remotely controlled and the woman was from the beginning planned to be killed. She left a young child in a hotel where she stayed.

If that scenario sounds a bit familiar it’s because it is, that’s precisely one of the methods ISIS employed.
