In the latest #ACMBytecast, host Rashimi Mohan interviews the 2024 #ACM #Turing Laureates Andrew Barto and Richard Sutton.
How were their ideas validated biologically with observations of dopamine neurons?

@lps
That would be interesting indeed. We have an open feature request for this (https://github.com/AntennaPod/AntennaPod/issues/7698) but there are some technical and legal challenges. No decision has been made yet on whether this might be implemented (if a PR would be accepted).
But did you know you can already open ActivityPub comments (in the browser) for episodes that support it? In the player screen you can tap on the three dots and then 'Show comments'!

A friend was asking for podcast recommendations for an upcoming road trip (typical scenario) and, not wanting to recommend my usual politics or film review ones, I mentioned an interesting South African one by Eusebius McKaiser. (His podcast was called In the Ring and was a mix of interviews and monologues.)
But the only thing is that he died in 2023.
I said he was unique enough that it's worth going and listening to some back episodes. But it really made me think about defunct #podcasts ...

Melvyn Bragg has left some really big shoes for Misha Glenny to fill 😬:

Oh, and back to what I actually wanted to post about ...
#Listening to the live-to-air by This Will Destroy You on KEXP;

This is *really* good music for thinking and writing to. The Crumb performance on 18 Nov too.

This is an intriguing panel discussion from FediCon, published on the @decentered podcast;

Some very challenging comments made, including "open source is dead". I just wish the host had asked the guests to explain exactly what they meant by comments like that, before moving along to the next topic.
Looking for #floss #podcasts besides #BSDNow that do not drink the AI cool aid, and do not shill crypto. VERY kind of exhausted by #DestinationLinux's love of AI lately. Boosts welcome.
Hmm…limited intersection with my set, but still some good recommendations:
“What’s Your Favourite Podcast At The Moment?”, Lobsters (https://lobste.rs/s/kinpl3/what_s_your_favourite_podcast_at_moment).
Looking at my @AntennaPod stats page brings me a lot of joy
