Thank you. But you did not answer my questions.
Nextcloud Talk and in particular the push notifications will not work properly without Google Services. Neither with manually installed and configured Unified Push services nor with other self-hosted services. It is just not configurable in the app as shown in the screenshot.
Or am i wrong? Please point me and the community to the right and relevant documentation. My concern:
If Google or Mr. Trump would stop Googles Services for us, Nextcloud Talk won't work as expected and no notifications will be sent!

Unfortunately no response yet - I try answer myself: Nextcloud Talk is still sending Push-Notifications via Google Services. But what will happen if google would stop offering these services or Mr. Trump ... ? Nextcloud Talk would not be usable any longer or do I miss something?

💡 We are live folks. Come on by again if you so choose. The earlier stream got derailed from a suddent Mastodon update while connection went in/out all morning. As it turns out, the data center where the PeerTube is located was having an ipv6 outage. That's now solved.
📜 On the agenda for tonight's stream is the following. First, we are building a nextcloud and then a gitlab. During the stream, we will be playing Queen's On Fire concert from 1982 (Hot Space Era). There's no connection between the two lol, rather, Queen is just for hacking comfort and viewer vibes.

📜 Going live now to setup nextcloud (including a self-hosted mail server) and after that a gitlab. These will be public registration offerings. I really hope to go live later today - progress has been slow as the link-tree'esque service page took surprisingly long.
🍿 This means it is also a door dash day (sorry, not sorry) as I will maximize output by having some lovely local food delivered. Although I wish there was floss-based infra for food delivery, I am nevertheless impressed that DoorDash does food trucks and local hole in the wall places.

How do I filter the list of @nextcloud partners by country or geographical area? Marking the relevant checkbox in the pulldown list does nothing with Firefox, Waterfox, and Chrome on Linux.

I've cleaned up my Raspberry Pi selfhosting setup a bit. I'm using two, each in an Argon ONE V5 case with a 1TB NVME drive, running Raspberry Pi OS.
'one' is serving Nextcloud All-in-one, Immich and Vaultwarden via a Caddy reverse-proxy. All using Docker containers, Caddy as a custom build with my domain DNS provider added.
'two' is used as remote borg backup destination for 'one', and later a few monitoring tools.
All three sites are using a wildcard certificate for my domain, and I connect via WireGuard (on the router) when away from home.
Path of least resistance:
I've tried Podman, AlmaLinux, and running a manual install of Nextcloud on Ubuntu. This setup follows recommended installations methods, and gives me fewer things to worry about.

I often edit markdown files by opening them in Nextcloud from the context menu in Gnome Files, as I like the NC Markdown editor.
However, after I updated my server to the latest NC, whenever I do it, the local file turns read-only.
It doesn't happen if I open the file through the NC web interface, but I hardly ever use that.
After I've edited a file, the local copy is read-only, which makes the function rather useless.

The 24th major version of the Android app from Nextcloud Talk has been released and comes with UnifiedPush support! It works with @nextcloud v34+, which provides support for web push.
You can now get push notifications on your browser, even if Nextcloud is not open, and on the FOSS flavor of the app, and even on Google-free Android devices.

Ingredientes para 12 racións
• 250 gr. de requeixo
• 150 gr. de manteiga
• 150 gr. de azucre
• 3 ovos
• 300 gr. de fariña
• 15 gr. de lévedo en po
• 120 gr. de arandos
• 1 reladura de limón
Utensilios
• relador
• culler grande
• espátula
• cunco de vidro
• batedora eléctrica
• forno
Elaboración
1.) Cortamos a manteiga en anacos e comezamos a batela coa batedora e imos engadindo o azucre e a reladura de limón, porque así reparte mellor o aroma.
2.) incorporamos o requeixo e despois os ovos un a un. Finalmente engadimos a fariña co lévedo pasada pola peneira, remexendo a mistura coa culler intentando que sexa homoxénea. No último momento incorporamos os arandos limpos e secos.
3.) Repartimos a masa nos moldes de papel e levámolas ao forno: a 180ºC durante uns 35 minutos.

- pódese usar aceite de oliva suave no lugar da manteiga (a mesma cantidade)
- ao sacar as madalenas do forno, aínda quentes, pódeselle engadir por enriba unha culledariña de azucre con zume de limón

For notes, I'm using #Nextcloud Notes to sync and work in the browser, with the NextCloud Notes Android app and the #GNOME app #Iotas in desktop.
Iotas doesn't save notes as .md files. Instead it uses a SQLite database but is great exporting notes as PDF, ODT, HTML and MD.
I'm still keeping #QOwnNotes in the mix, but I haven't yet set up the Nextcloud desktop app to sync with my Linux system.
#OneCalendar, Iotas and #Thunderbird sync with Nextcloud without requiring extra apps.
#OneCalendar's secret weapon is that you don't need a separate DAV app to sync the calendar with #Nextcloud.
I'm now doing my calendar with #OneCalendar on Android and #Nextcloud for sync and the Web browser. I'm using #Thunderbird to run the calendar on desktop, but I'm also open to exploring other apps for Linux. Next step: a new second-factor authentication app #degoogle

#Iotas and #Nextcloud play very well together. About the only problem I'm having is when Nextcloud's apps strip out tabs and multiple spaces when I have them in a note/post for formatting.

I'm using Joplin on my laptop, for notes. Every note is sorted into folders, and sub-folders. I then sync that to a Joplin folder on Nextcloud, provided by murena.io. The sync uses WebDAV.
This is all working, EXCEPT the folder structure isn't preserved. All my notes are dumped into one folder.
Am I missing something, or is this a feature?

Tengo la grabación de la última actuación, es como giga y medio, y me gustaría subirla al área de socios para que tengan acceso a ella bajo las reglas de Nextcloud y. al mismo tiempo, publicarla en el blog de manera que se pueda ver con el visor de Wordpress. Todo eso sin que tenga que duplicar el espacio ocupado.
Pues no, el único complemento que he visto es uno de pago con mucha fanfarria en la página web que promete demasiadas cosas pero que siendo de pago como que no. Y no es por el dinero, es por la dependencia que le cargo a la asociación sin necesidad alguna.
He mirado también #webdav y otros medios para acceder desde Wordpress hacia Nextcloud pero nada, que tampoco hay nada. Algunos usuarios han tenido el mismo problema que yo en 2016 así que no sé si siguen vivos y si lo han resuelto porque nadie les contestó.
A ver cómo me las apaño. Algo rudimentario seguro.
La aplicación se llama repod (https://git.crystalyx.net/Xefir/repod), que necesita también la aplicación gpodersync (https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/gpoddersync) para funcionar y que mejora mucho todo el sistema porque lo mantiene sincronizado con AntennaPod (por ejemplo) y así sigues episodios escuchados en un sitio u otro, por ejemplo.
Y todo esto lo cuento porque he visto el anuncio del podcast "Tetas libres" de la Revista Asamblea Digital. Mirando la página veo que el complemento para Firefox Copy RSS Button (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/copy-rss-button/) me muestra todos los feeds de la misma, y es muy fácil copiarlos para subscribirse.
